Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to this website (the "Site") and your reservation of a Soritok founding membership. The Site is operated by Samuel Kirby, a registered business in Australia ("Soritok", "we", "us"). By using the Site or reserving a founding spot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. What Soritok is today
Soritok is an app in development for learning Korean through the K-dramas and K-pop content you already enjoy. The app is not yet released. This Site lets early supporters reserve a discounted "Founding Annual" membership ahead of launch.
2. What a founding reservation is
- You pay $49.99 today to reserve a Founding Annual membership at a discount off the planned $149.99 launch price.
- Your founding price is locked for as long as you remain a continuous member, as described on the Site.
- Your membership becomes active when the app launches. We are building it now and cannot promise an exact launch date.
- A reservation is a pre-order, not a subscription that bills again automatically before launch.
3. Refunds — you only pay if we ship
We mean the promise on the Site:
- Full refund, anytime before launch, no questions asked. If you change your mind at any point before the app launches, email us and we will refund you in full. The fastest way is to reply to your Stripe receipt, or write to hello@soritokapp.com.
- If we never ship, you are refunded. If we decide not to launch the app, we will refund every founding reservation in full.
- Refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe. They may take a few business days to appear.
4. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. By reserving, you authorise the charge shown at checkout. You are responsible for providing accurate payment and contact details. Prices are in US Dollars (USD) and, where applicable, exclusive of taxes that may be added at checkout.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site — including attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access, or use it unlawfully. The Site content, branding, and copy are owned by Soritok and may not be copied or reused without permission.
6. No warranties; pre-launch nature
The Site is provided "as is". Statements about the app describe our current plans and may change as the product develops. Beyond the refund commitment in Section 3, we make no warranties about features, availability, or launch timing.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you relating to a founding reservation is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
8. Privacy
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product develops. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be notified to reserved members by email.
